The Mundus Journalism Consortium Scholarships Programs | 2022-2024

The Mundus Journalism Consortium is able to offer a number of scholarships for the programs running in 2022-2024 since the Mundus Journalism program has been selected by the EU to receive Mundus scholarships (€34.000/€47.000 for EU/non-EU citizens, respectively). For the second year of their Mundus Journalism studies, all Mundus Journalism students who do not receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship can apply for an Erasmus+ stipend.

The deadline for applications is January 10th, 2022.

ELIGIBILITY

International countries are eligible.

To be completed in (country): The Erasmus Mundus Journalism Master’s is run by a collaboration of eight universities from Europe, North and South America, and Australia.

* Students who meet the criteria for both Category A and B (students having a dual nationality) must choose one of the two categories. As a result, they are only eligible to apply for one of two scholarship categories.

* Prior to the start of the Mundus Journalism course, students must have completed a first higher education degree.

* Students who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Master’s scholarship are not eligible for a second Erasmus Mundus Master’s scholarship. * Students who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Master’s scholarship are not eligible for another European Commission grant while pursuing their Erasmus Mundus Master’s studies.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Academic abilities, past academic record, and academic references of the applicant.

Journalism experience is determined by the applicant’s references and examples of journalistic work.

Motivation is determined by the applicant’s personal statement, which should be a strong, unambiguous statement demonstrating the applicant’s motivation, commitment, and applicable talents.

Cultural awareness, organizational skills, linguistic proficiency, foreign experience, and other factors are considered based on the applicant’s personal statement, CV, and reference letters.

Language abilities

If applicants are not native English speakers, they must also have a minimum Academic IELTS band score of 7.0. (we only accept IELTS tests). If they are not natural Spanish speakers, applicants who want to study at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile must present a certified copy of their DELE scores or other verification of their Spanish skills.

The number of scholarships available is unknown.

WORTH OF SCHOLARSHIP

The estimated value of Category A scholarships (for international students) is €47,000.

The estimated value of Category B scholarships (for European students) is €34,000.

Scholarships are awarded for the duration of the program.
